About the Team
Dr. Kris Mercado, D.C., MSAc, L.Ac
Dr. Kris Mercado is a Chiropractic Physician & Acupuncturist with focus on soft tissue therapy, rehabilitation and acupuncture. She attended National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois where she graduated with her Doctor of Chiropractic and Masters of Science in Acupuncture degrees in 2021. Dr. Kris also treats prenatal and postpartum patients and is certified in the Webster Technique.
Dr. Kris has spent part of her childhood years in Michigan and also graduated from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor with a Psychology degree, concentrating in Neuroscience. While she has lived in different cities across the country, she finally chose to come back to Michigan for the third time and work in the Metro Detroit area to serve the community.
Outside the office, you can find Dr. Kris talking about sports as she is a big fan of football and baseball. She also enjoys staying active and running races. Dr. Kris is a member of the American Chiropractic Association, American Society of Acupuncturists, International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, Michigan Association of Chiropractors, and Michigan Society of Acupuncturists.
Danielle Pureifory, MSOM, L.Ac
Danielle holds a master’s degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (cum laude) from the National University of Health Sciences in Illinois. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Brain, Behavior, and Cognitive Science from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor.
Inspired by her personal experiences with the positive healing effects of acupuncture on her own life and family, Danielle pursued a career in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). During, and post-clinical training, she has gained extensive experience treating a wide range of conditions and developed a deep understanding of the therapeutic power of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.
With specialized training in cosmetic acupuncture and psycho-emotional disorders, Danielle enjoys focusing on women’s health, mental-emotional well-being, digestive health, and overall balance. Her compassionate, patient-centered approach is rooted in the belief that TCM can provide transformative benefits for physical and emotional wellness.
Outside of her practice, Danielle enjoys gardening, traveling, and spending quality time with her family and in nature.
